The Landscape Foreman is one of the most important roles in our company. You are the bridge between our leadership and our on-site crews. On any given day, you will be directing a team of skilled and entry-level workers, interpreting landscape plans, managing materials, solving unexpected challenges, and making sure every project is installed safely, correctly, and on time. You won’t just be watching from the sidelines. This is a working foreman position — you’ll be hands-on alongside the crew while also overseeing the quality and direction of the work. Strong communication, organizational skills, and landscape installation knowledge are all essential to succeed in this role. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily crew operations on residential and commercial landscape installation projects Interpret and execute landscape plans, blueprints, and project specifications Coordinate the installation of hardscape features including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and decorative stonework Oversee planting installation — trees, shrubs, ground cover, turf, and drought-tolerant native plants Supervise irrigation system installation including drip lines, sprinkler heads, and smart controllers Manage daily crew scheduling, task assignment, and time management on-site Ensure all work meets quality standards and matches client expectations Communicate project updates, progress, and any issues directly to company management Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients throughout the project Enforce job-site safety protocols and ensure all crew members follow safety procedures Operate and oversee the proper use of landscaping equipment and tools Coordinate material deliveries, track inventory, and manage job-site resources efficiently Complete daily progress reports and any required job documentation Requirements What We’re Looking For We are not just looking for someone with a long resume. Below are the core requirements for this position. Valid Driver’s License Must hold a valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record. Driving company vehicles to and between job sites across Sonoma County is required. Landscape Installation Experience A minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience required: hardscape, planting, grading, and irrigation systems. Crew Leadership & Supervision Demonstrated experience leading a landscape crew — delegating tasks, setting the pace, and resolving on-site issues decisively. Bilingual: English & Spanish Strong communication in both English and Spanish is required for daily interaction with crew members and clients. Ability to Read Landscape Plans Ability to read and interpret basic landscape plans, site drawings, and project specifications is strongly preferred. Reliability & Punctuality Our clients and crews depend on consistent, on-time leadership. Dependability is non-negotiable in this role. Physical Requirements: This is an outdoor, physically demanding role. You must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work in varying weather conditions, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform hands-on labor alongside your crew when needed.
