Founder & Owner, The Great Landscape LLC
Jonathan was born in Honduras and grew up with his grandparents, who instilled in him strong moral values, a love for nature, and the importance of hard work and continuous learning.
Today, that same love of nature shapes every project at The Great Landscape: bringing beauty and life into every garden he designs.
From the farm and the classroom to a company of his own.
Earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture.
Moved to Nicaragua to pursue an engineering degree in agriculture, but could not finish it because of the country's political unrest.
Moved to the United States and joined Geared For Growing, a well-established landscape company, where he gained hands-on experience in every part of the landscaping process.
Pursued his C-27 Landscaping Contractor's License, and chose to keep learning before starting his own business.
Worked as an estimator at GFG and enrolled at SRJC to deepen his knowledge of horticulture, plants, climate change, and landscape design.
Started his own business, bringing everything he learned to every yard and garden he works on.
Jonathan enjoys fishing, hiking, and swimming in rivers, embracing the colors, sounds, and diverse natural landscapes found outdoors.
His passion for landscaping comes from his love of nature, bringing beauty and life into every garden he designs.
