Jonathan was born in Honduras and grew up with his grandparents, who instilled in him strong moral values, a love for nature, and the importance of hard work and continuous learning. In 2017, he earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture. The following year, he moved to Nicaragua to pursue an engineering degree in agriculture but was unable to complete it due to the country’s political unrest. In 2019, Jonathan moved to the United States and began working at Geared For Growing, a well-established landscape company. There, he gained hands-on experience in every aspect of the landscaping process. In 2023, he pursued his C-27 Landscaping Contractor’s License but chose to delay starting his own business until 2025 to continue learning. While working as an estimator at GFG in 2024, he enrolled at SRJC to deepen his knowledge of horticulture, plants, climate change, and landscape design. Jonathan enjoys fishing, hiking, and swimming in rivers, embracing the colors, sounds, and diverse natural landscapes found outdoors. His passion for landscaping comes from his love of nature, bringing beauty and life into every garden he designs.
